Wild Harvested Desert Rosewood – Capacity 300L per annum

Desert Rosewood (Eremophila mitchelli) is an oil chemically comparable to Agarwood and has an unusual, rich woody aroma ideal for blending to create signature scents applicable for a wide range of organic oil-based products.

While traditionally used in products marketed toward males this oil is has significant potential as a core ingredient in the development of unisex product lines seeking to evoke mindfulness and calmness.

Desert Rosewood is generally used as a base note and works well in combination with other base notes such as Sandalwood. Desert Rosewood has significant potential to creating niche products outside its traditional use in perfumery and male cosmeceuticals including in lip balms, bath products, face treatments and diffuser blends.

Organic Oils Direct has partnered with farmers located in South East Queensland covering some 70,000 acres of land containing significant natural stands of this endemic plant. We work with farmers to sustainably wild harvest these natural stands to ensure habitat is preserved and stocks are maintained for long term sustainability. 

Keeping in line with our commitment to sustainability we have set our maximum current capacity at 300L per annum.

Wild Harvested Sandalwood (CO2 Extracted)

Our Sandalwood (Santalum spicatum) oil is wild harvested from Western Australia and extracted using CO2. This Sandalwood has an extremely pleasing dry woodsy aroma that is distinct from other species of Santalum grown in India and Vanuatu.

Organic Oils Direct has specifically chosen to age our Sandalwood oil to enhance the richness and depth of this classic Australian favourite. All our Sandalwood is aged between 3-5 years.
